Reflection on Holiday Greeting Video

I feel that me and my partner did a good job in working together to get in done and staying after school since we didn't finished. I feel that we did a good job in explaining it and added a bit of creativity with different pictures of what we talked about. I think our title came out good and I thought it was creative, i also think we did a good job on citing everything because we didn't leave anything out. We didn't quite have time to put sound in but that's okay.

i would've liked to add sound and make it more interesting like some other groups. I especially liked what Eddy's group did with the music and what Cody's group did with the dancing. What I did to create our video was helped look for backrounds and did a lot of the editing, me and my partner both. I stayed after school once to get editing done, my partner stayed twice, i couldn't the second time but im glad she was able to get it done and i think she did a good job in putting the other pictures in. I helped in making Laura less invisible, we did the best we could but blue is not a good color to wear with a greenscreen. i helped my partner by editing our filming and getting all the set in and set out points right and my locating the best pictures we could find. She helped me with the after effects with the greenscreen because i wasn't very good at that she knew a little more than i did. She helped me with the color keying and balance on greenscreen effects and taught me how it worked.

What I would do differently if i had a another chance to do this profect is talk louder surung my filming and practice my script more so it wouldnt be so awkward. Overall I am proud of what we did and im glad about our teeamwork and that we were able to get it done on time, my partner was very helpful and i hope she thinks the same of me. We worked hard on this project and im proud of our result.

Cyberbullying What You Need To Know 1

The parts of the video that I am most proud of is the editing and the effective sound effects. I am also very proud of our group work and we did a very good job and i am proud of getting 1st place in our class. Comments from others that were helpful were to extend some scenes for greater effects. Changes we made on our final video were extended the clip where I am depressed and isolated and put the prevention tips in their own individual slide. if we had another day or two i don't think we would change much. Maybe we would add a more variety of interviews. if we had the chance to do this project all over again I think we would do everything the same but a bit more varietyof clips.  What I discovered about creating videos is that teamwork and organization is very important and enthusiasm helps a lot. Other thoughts I have about my project is that I really hope it's effective and people get the message because i realized that some people might not take it very seriously still.

greenscreen 01.f4v

A green screen works by setting a green backround and being able to replace the green with a picture or clip. The most important considerations are not to wear similar colors to screen and making sure there are no shadows or wrinkles on the screen. Problems that can arise when trying to eliminate a green screen is deleting too much and making a part of a person disappear. The after effects are easier then using premeire pro because it eliminates the color easily and automatically. Using green screen will come in handy and it seems interesting and fun.

Cyberbullying 01

What I learned from this video was how to break up scenes and have a video flow better. I also learned that more footage cam make a more emotional effect than just pictures. Sound can also create an emotional effect and draw peoples attention.

What I learned from this video is to make sure that the sound is good and everything is clear. I learned to check that music dosn't drown out voice overs. Scenes also need to be flowing and I learned to make sure not to cut scenes oddly.

A simple cut in the timeline means that you are deleting a clip and it is NOT sliding over. When you cut, the other clips in the timeline they are deleted from the timeline.
A ripple edit is when you delete a clip from the timeline but at the same time, you are sliding the remaining clips over to make the whole video flow. You do this by right clicking on the clip you want to delete and instead of hitting 'cut' you hit 'ripple edit' in order to slide all the other clips back. When you ripple delete, the other clips to the right of the deleted clip and are slided to come right after the preceding clips without leaving a gap.
Lifting and extracting are two ways to cut and delete at one time. To do this, you set an in and an out point of the portion you want to delete in the Program Panel and then depending on what you want to do, click lift or extract which is found on the lower right corner of the Program Panel. Lifting is like cutting or deleting a clip only, while extracting is like the ripple edit option, in terms of what happens to the other clips in the timeline.
This is an example of an extract edit. I decided to ripple edit the two clips where I did because it added consistency and flow to the video as a whole because there were some parts where the horse was doing nothing and we felt that those parts were unnecessary in the video. Also, with the way we did it we added to the climax of the whole video.

insert1_torres.f4v(

The difference between and insert and an overlay is that in an overlay the video that you are putting in cuts into the other video. When you insert a clip, the clip gets longer and adds in the new clip wherever you have inserted it. The insert will most likely make the final product longer while the overlay will just cut in and wherever you put in the clip, the old stuff from the other clip will erase, or not show. Instead the new overlayed clip will show.

This is an example of an overlay. You use this to put in another clip to cut into the other clip without really making in longer.

Sequence 01

Reflection: I am happy with the way our video turned out and I am also happy that we finally got it done. I think I am getting better at editing the videos on premiere pro and doing it again helped me remember the steps and ways to do things. One way I helped my partner was by reminding her of how to do things and the steps to do it. We both communicated with each other to get this project done. My partner helped me upload my video to my blog because I had forgotten how to do it. One challenge we faced was getting the right video file onto youtube but we figured it out.

into 01

The skills I have learned from working with this video are how to edit videos on premeire pro and how to export and import files. I learned how to change files into different formars as well. At first doing this was frustrating and confusing but after I got the hang of it it's actually not so hard. My final product probably wasn't perfect, but now I know how to make it better next time, and next time I won't take so long.
My partner, Estefania Rojas, and I communicated a lot to help each other and if one of us forgot how to do somthing the other would help to figure it out. Dr. A's power point really helped me understand what to do and figure out the skills I needed to learn. There were several challenges that I had to overcome with this technology, like using premiere pro and exporting files.
